My performance practice centers on experimentation, improvisation, and collaboration across borders and disciplines. As a flutist and founding member of in^set, I explore new sonic possibilities through works that blend electronics, text, movement, and graphic notation. I have performed in diverse settings, from experimental festivals in Mexico, Chile, and Germany to collaborative projects with artists like Los Tigres del Norte, and regularly premiere new works by composers from Latin America and beyond. My performances often emerge from collective processes, archival research, and community engagement.

in^set is a flexible chamber ensemble dedicated to creation, improvisation and experimentation. Founded in 2018 by David Aguila (trumpet), Teresa Díaz de Cossio (flute), and Ilana Waniuk (violin), in^set is committed to commissioning and performing existing compositions which extends our respective instrumental practices beyond the confines of contemporary classical music. Our collaborative creative work seeks to explore the sonic and visual possibilities of everyday objects, digital and analog visual components and hacked electronics. As advocates for music of the present, we aim to foster artistic partnerships and alternative modes of concert presentation. Our activities include outreach workshops and performances geared towards sharing our passion for expanded methods of sound production.

Archive is an ongoing modular, audiovisual project exploring memory, ritual and connection. Created by Ilana Waniuk (violin, live visuals, objects, sound design), and Teresa Díaz de Cossio (flutes, stop motion, objects, sound design), Archive consists of a series of modules--artifacts— intended to be used as invitations for collaborative audiovisual improvisation and experimentation. Inspired by the idea of a box of old photographs, memorabilia, and ephemera such as one might find at an archive—each linked to a distinct network of memories. Archive invites us to investigate how those intangible connections might be brought to life and explored through the medium of audiovisual performance.
